Il ne s’agit pas du château de La Rochefoucauld mais de celui de Verteuil, toujours en Charente qui appartient à une autre branche de la famille. Ceci n’enlève pas la tristesse de cette nouvelle. C’est tout le problème de ce patrimoine français qu’il devient de plus en plus difficile à conserver par les familles. Pour information, j’ai passé quelques photos du château de Verteuil cet été sur mon compte instagram, vous pourrez constater que le château est immense, il a subi de nombreux dégâts dues aux différentes tempêtes depuis 1999, à chaque fois réparés, mais les propriétaires, âgés, ne peuvent plus faire face. C’est un crève-coeur pour eux

J’ai découvert le Château de Nieuil, il y’a fort longtemps, dans les années 80 et l’on y déjeunait très bien.
L’armoise à Cognac dans le hall d’entrée du Château m’avait impressionné.
Ensuite, j’ai découvert la GRANGE aux OIES, dans l’aile opposée à son emplacement actuel et l’association Pascal, Patrice et Sylvie fleurait déjà bon, et maintenant ce nouveau lieu est tout simplement magique. Une vraie équipe de professionnels qui a su s’entourer d’un personnel de qualité et vous avez là les clés de la réussite. Longue vie au Château de Nieuil et à la GRANGE aux OIES.
